What are Phantom Edges?
Per Steam store copy, Phantom Edges are unique secondary weapons obtained from fallen foes and bosses— “wrested from the hands” of those enemies—not a generic shop catalog. Steam cites more than twenty Edges; PlayStation Blog (17 August 2026) cites 25. We track both and refuse to invent a closed 25-name list.
How do you equip Edges?
Pre-release equipment notes (Forbes / Forge) describe a two primary blades + two Phantom Edges loadout. Treat Edge slots as tools you earn through combat milestones: fill them as boss associations verify, and reforge later if a different family fits your role—materials return is official per the same PS Blog. Exact menu unlock timing remains Unverified until you see it in your patch.
Named early Edges (Epic Store guide)
The Epic Games Store Phantom Edge locations guide (Jason Rodriguez, 28 October 2026) attributes early named Edges including Hunter's Chain Sickle (defeat The Hunt; multi-hit + grapple), Dread Axe, Feather Bow, Flying Dagger, Iron Gauntlets, Bastion, Kuye Temple Prayer Beads, Heartrend Pipa, and Puppeteer's Bell. Status on those rows: Attributed (Epic Store guide)—not invented DPS.
Dread Axe (Epic + allthings.how)
Defeat Peng Meng, the Axemaster, in Weeping Creek Valley to obtain Dread Axe (Attributed — Epic Store guide / allthings.how). It breaks shields; Iron Chain Breaker cuts chains blocking paths even when the axe is unequipped. Edge use consumes Remnant Spark, restored at a Bell. Rapid Charge increases charge speed by 30%; this is a Tempering art effect. Peng Meng has 18,720 total HP on PATHBREAKER (allthings.how bosses list, updated Oct 30 2026). The Dread Axe guide’s roughly 120–240 HP per hit describes damage to Soul.
More named Edges (GameRant — 25 named covered)
GameRant’s all-Phantom-Edges locations guide lists exactly 25 named Edges (matches the PS Blog count). Combined with the Epic early set, our Attributed EN rows now cover that published 25, including late adds Inanis' Radiant Fan (talk to Inanis in the depths after defeating Huangxing — Mountain of Imprisonment) and Tiger Cannon (defeat Lei Dang, the Tiger Cannon — Mirage Estate, Pangzhen). Status: Attributed. Steam storefront still says 20+ vs PS Blog / GameRant 25—note the variance; we do not invent beyond cited names.
Ink Cut and axe-name notes
Ink Cut corresponds to 墨血无痕 on matching English and Chinese demo cards documented by wuxiapunk, with its obtain path attributed to GameRant. These demo cards do not confirm retail Chinese localization.
Man-Cutter appears on a 2025 English demo equipment screen (kungfupunk / phantomblade.guide). Dread Axe is the name used in retail coverage by Epic and allthings.how. Giant Fierce Axe (巨凶斧) appears in Chinese preview coverage; its English retail name remains Unverified. Proposed connections between the three names are unconfirmed.
Soft Snake Sword obtain note
Soft Snake Sword is a primary weapon. Defeat Wu Lengshuang, the Soft Sword, in Mandate Encampment near the Path of the Baishan’s Fall bell (GameSpot / KeenGamer / allthings.how weapons list, updated Oct 29 2026). Bloodless Victory calls for deflecting an attack with its Serpentine Reversal art (allthings.how achievements). Its no-cost Guard Stance is a weapon-specific perk; base Sha-Chi drain numbers remain Unverified. Compare it on the weapons table.
How are Edges earned?
Steam frames Edges as rewards from defeating noteworthy foes. The Hunt (official name, PS Blog ZH) → Hunter's Chain Sickle is attributed via the Epic Store guide. After each clear, check whether a new Edge appeared, then update the boss-link column here and on the bosses page. Do not copy unverified name lists from mirror wikis.
